2011 Recession Offer: A Free Seminar for Your Component!
The AIA Trust has just announced that they will offer a free LegaLine seminar to AIA Components whose members who have not previously enjoyed one—with no purchase required. The only requirements are that your component promote the seminar and meet the minimum attendance requirement of 20 members. Read more »
2011 AIA Component Grant Funding Available
The AIA Trust-Schinnerer and CNA Component Grants Program will again fund component projects, conferences, and publications that help to foster leadership, advance management education, and increase the effectiveness of professional practice. AIA Components may apply for grants up to $3,000 each. Read more »
Attain AIA Learning Units
Visit the AIA Trust online to attain AIA Learning units. There are 25 AIA Trust Self Assessment Tests each which provides one AIA Learning Unit (LU) credit. The tests have an average of ten questions that relate to the risk management programs of the AIA Trust—ranging from copyright and liability claims issues to financial management and business owners protection. The tests may be found by visiting the Member Resources page on the AIA Trust website. You will be able to see earned learning units in your on-line transcript in 2–3 weeks. Risk Management Tools for You & Your Firm
Architects confront risks daily – at many levels. From working with employees and maintaining your own office space to working with clients and contractors on job sites – along with all the regulatory and legislative requirements that frequently change – the risks are real and substantial.
In its role as a risk management resource for members, the AIA Trust works with a wide variety of important participants in the risk management arena. Often, the result of these working relationships is reports and resources on vital topics of interest to AIA Members—ranging from the annual survey of the professional liability insurance industry to white papers on vital topics of architectural practice.
